The latest version of Skype for Linux is 4.1.0.20. On this tutorial I am going to show you how to install Skype on Fedora 18. Fedora 18 is the most recent version but it still in Beta version. This tutorial will install Skype on Fedora 18 via command line.
Steps to install Skype on Fedora 18
Open Terminal and type the following command
yum install alsa-lib.i686 libXv.i686 libXScrnSaver.i686 qt.i686 qt-x11.i686
rpm -ivh skype-4.1.0.20-fedora.i586.rpm
